Day 4

Day 4 - Your views on religion.

My views on religion are pretty far from center.
I was raised Catholic, and as I got older I became intrigued by other religions and their traditions. In college I took several religion courses and that is really what helped me make sense of how I felt.

In the end, I think we all end up in the same place. No matter if your God is Jesus, Buddha, Muhammad or Ganesh. I think who ever is up there sent different prophets to speak to different groups of people. The message is the same across every religion and the similarities across them are many.

I also don't like people who are real pushy about religion. It makes me really uncomfortable.
For me, religion is a very personal experience that I prefer to keep mostly private. It also bothers me greatly when religious views are used to support laws - I don't need my government imposing their version of morality on me.

I don't know exactly how to identify myself so I simply stick with the Catholic label most days.
