Day One of being AWAKE

Well yesterday I finally made it to Wal-Greens and I finally filled my new prescription for Provigil. Which means today I started taking my medicine to treat my day time sleepiness.
I AM SO AWAKE!
I had a 2 and half hour meeting with nothing but engineers and my boss to discuss this new huge project. Normally this kind of situation would be extremely difficult for me to stay awake through. It would involve a lot of head bobbing, tricks to try to stay awake, and lots of failure. However, I was AWAKE, fidgety, and very alert to what was going on. In fact, my boss even mentioned that she noticed how awake and alert I was when were discussing things after the meeting.
So far, success.

Now, it's not like I'm just awake, not sleepy, and feel totally normal.
I feel like I slept 10 hours and drank a whole pot of coffee followed by a redbull.
I.cannot.sit.still. Period.

Regardless of that strange side effect, the slightly annoying headache, and the cost of the medicine, I would say so far I am very happy with its performance.
However, time will tell.

I still have to see:

• how it pans out through the rest of the day,
  
• if it has any strange side effects when I drink,
  
• and how the weekend goes while on it.

So I'll report back Monday to let you know how it went.
